ARTIST STATEMENT
My work delves into the intricacies of the human experience.
Through the mediums of experimental video/film, performance and sound I explore the ways in which we (dis)connect to/from each other and our surroundings in a rapidly shifting world.
I wish to not only observe but to feel and question the world around me.
In this sense, working with video/sound recordings and their re-arrangement is my way of maintaining consciousness and communicating as an artist.
Ultimately, I seek to create trancelike atmospheres that hold space for the ambiguities that we live in - the internal/private and the external/public, loneliness and collectiveness, reality and fiction, daydreams and anxieties.
